On the banks of the Maple River within Cass County, Mapleton real estate provides a small town atmosphere within the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area. With a population of 762, according to the 2010 census, this community is located within 10 miles of the core cities of the Fargo-Moorhead metro area. The city was founded in 1875 and is today preferred by many who commute to work in the larger cities. Prairie View Park amenities include soccer, volleyball and basketball facilities, a picnic shelter, a modular play system and a large sand box. This park is north of the railroad at 4th Street and 5th Avenue. A 9 hole disc golf course is located near the Baseball Complex. Maple River Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole course and will also provide recreation for golfers of any skill level.
